What UpLead promises about data, and what its terms disclaim

UpLead's accuracy figures are its own claims. The pricing page says 95%, while terms 6.1 say UpLead does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of the data and does not promise any minimum number of leads. Terms 6.2 provide the service "as is." The UpLead review sets those claims beside the bounce article.

Refund promises and how a bounce is handled

UpLead's home page promises refunds for bounces and poor data, and its Prospector page says "95% precision, or you get your credits back." Ask UpLead in writing how a refund is claimed: none of its pages gives claim steps or a time limit, and terms 3.4 call payments non-refundable. Its bounce article explains hard and soft bounces and advises removing hard-bounced addresses at once.

Seamless.AI says it refunds a credit automatically for an invalid email, with no forms to fill in. How accurate is a B2B contact database sets out what each vendor does on a bounce.

Is UpLead safe for the people in its database

UpLead's opt-out page lets anyone request a report of the personal data UpLead holds or ask for deletion, across CCPA, GDPR and other jurisdictions, and its data removal article says other requests are processed within 30 days. UpLead's privacy policy carries a CCPA notice for California residents. UpLead says it stores no sensitive payment details and does not sell or share personal data with third parties without user consent.

The sending duties are yours: terms 5.1 require the customer to follow the laws on telemarketing, data privacy and consumer protection, including the CAN-SPAM Act (US email), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the EU's GDPR and California's CCPA. This is general information, not legal advice.

The billing terms to read before you pay

UpLead's terms ask for 60 days' notice before any renewal date, while its help center applies the 60 days to annual plans and says monthly plans can be canceled at any time. All plans renew automatically, and the terms let UpLead raise fees before a renewal term with 90 days' notice. After the terms end, the customer must destroy stored UpLead data within seven days. Steps to end a plan are on how to cancel an UpLead subscription.

Pick Seamless.AI if a stated automatic credit refund for invalid emails matters most. Pick Cognism if you want a credit spent again only when a contact changes jobs, as Cognism states it; UpLead's terms say a changed company can count as an additional credit. You can judge the data yourself on the 7-day trial, which holds 5 credits and asks for payment details at sign-up.
