UpLead Chrome extension: what it does

UpLead says its Chrome extension shows verified contact and company data while you browse the web or use LinkedIn, and it is listed on every UpLead plan, the trial included.

To install it, click Add to Chrome on the extension page and accept the permission pop-up. After you unlock a contact's email and phone number, you can export to your CRM, download a CSV or add the contact to a Contact List for later. Unlocking spends a credit: in UpLead's words, one credit unlocks one contact for download or CRM export, with the email and mobile direct dial.

Which UpLead plans include the extension

UpLead's plan comparison table marks the Chrome Extension on all four columns, and the 7-day trial card lists it too. On annual billing, as read on October 30, 2026, Essentials is $74 a month for 2,040 credits and Plus is $149 a month for 4,800 credits. UpLead pricing has the full plan limits.

What each unlock costs in credits

Unlocking a contact in the extension spends a credit from the same balance as the search screen, so UpLead's help center tells you to check that your account has enough credits.

A credit is spent on the first unlock of each contact or company only, and the company details and limited contact details are visible beforehand.

The extension on LinkedIn, and LinkedIn's own rule

On LinkedIn, UpLead's help center says the extension lets you view UpLead data, unlock emails and phones and build Contact Lists while you search for People.

Who should use a different tool

Hunter suits a buyer who needs only emails on a free plan. Hunter's help center says its Free plan gives 50 credits a month with no time limit, no credit card required and unlimited team members, and that finding an email costs 1 credit. Hunter's paid prices are on its own pricing page.

The extension is on the 7-day trial card, so it can be tried on 5 contacts before day 7. To activate the trial you enter payment details, and the help center says an account not canceled by day 7 is billed for the Essentials annual plan.
