Last reviewed October 30, 2026

Quick answerThe trial gives 5 credits for 7 days, but UpLead's help center says you enter payment details and are billed $890 annually for Essentials unless you cancel by day 7. Lusha's free plan needs no card.

UpLead free trial: what the 7 days include

UpLead's free trial lasts 7 days. The trial account holds 5 credits for one user, and one credit unlocks one contact. As read on October 30, 2026, the pricing page card shows $0 for 7 days. UpLead's pricing page shows a free 7-day trial, while its help center says you enter payment details to activate it and that an account not canceled by day 7 is billed for the Essentials annual plan.

Payment details, the day-5 reminder and the day-7 charge

The sign-up article says you enter payment details to unlock full trial access, with no immediate charge. The card is not billed until after day 7 unless you cancel first, and UpLead notifies you two days before billing begins.

UpLead's help center says an account not canceled by day 7 is billed $890 annually for the Essentials Plan, while its pricing page shows $74 a month on annual billing, which is $888 over 12 months (a computation); check the amount on the checkout screen.

How to cancel the trial or pick another plan before day 7

Cancel the trial at Profile, then Billing, then Cancel Plan. UpLead's terms call subscription payments non-refundable, so cancel before day 7. Paid-plan steps are on how to cancel an UpLead subscription.

To switch instead, upgrade to Plus Annual or Professional Annual, or move to a monthly plan, before the trial ends. Forgetting to switch moves the account to Essentials Annual, where the help center applies 60 days' notice before a renewal.

To close a trial account instead, choose Close Account in the profile menu. Closing ends your access at once to unused credits, saved searches and downloads, so download what you need first.

What 5 trial credits can and cannot show you

Each credit also brings the contact's email and mobile direct dial, a direct phone number rather than a headquarters line. Choose Valid Only, which charges credits for valid emails only. The trial card lists verified emails, mobile phones and the Chrome extension, while buyer intent data, meaning verified contacts at in-market buyers, is listed under Professional. The help center does not say whether unused trial credits carry over.

Free plans elsewhere: Apollo.io, Lusha and Hunter

UpLead has no free plan, only the trial. Three rivals have one: Apollo.io Free gives 75 credits per seat a month on its monthly view, Lusha Free gives 40 credits a month with no credit card, and Hunter Free gives 50 credits a month with no card or time limit. See free B2B contact database options.

Take a solo consultant who needs 40 contacts a month. Lusha charges 1 credit per email, so its 40 credits cover 40 emails, but a phone number costs 5 credits. Hunter's finder starts from a name and a company domain and charges 1 credit per email found, so its 50 credits leave room. Past those allowances, UpLead Essentials is $99 a month, billed monthly, for 170 credits; UpLead pricing lists every plan.

Set a reminder for day 5: the 7-day trial turns into a paid Essentials annual plan on day 7 unless you cancel.
