Notice periods: monthly against annual

All UpLead plans renew automatically, and a canceled plan stays active until the billing cycle ends. The help center asks annual plans for cancellation requests 60 days before the renewal date and says monthly plans can be canceled at any time.

UpLead's pricing FAQ says monthly plans carry no contract and only Professional is annual, its comparison page says every plan runs month-to-month, and its terms ask for 60 days' notice before any renewal, so confirm the cancel-by date of your plan in writing.

Refunds after canceling

UpLead's terms call all payments non-refundable, so canceling returns no fees already paid. A downgrade starts at the end of the billing period with no prorated refund; an upgrade takes effect at once and is charged in full. The home page's refund promise for bounces is a separate matter, covered in is UpLead legit.

Pause with the Hibernation Plan instead

The Hibernation Plan pauses an account for $2 a month and keeps your credits, saved searches, settings and downloads. While paused you can only re-download earlier leads. The pause starts after your current billing cycle, and reactivating charges the plan fee then.

To start it, click your profile icon, select Billing, open Advanced Options and click Cancel Subscription; a popup offers the pause. UpLead pricing has the plan amounts you would return to.

Closing the account and your data

Closing is separate from canceling. You immediately lose unused credits, saved searches, uploaded files and previously downloaded lists, so cancel the subscription first and download what you need. The path is Profile, Billing, Advanced Options, Close Account; on a trial account, use Close Account in the profile menu. The terms require the customer to destroy stored Data within seven days after a plan ends.

Pick the pause to keep your credits and downloads. Pick Apollo.io to fall back on a free plan: its pricing page says that after a trial you can move to a free Starter plan with no time limit.

The cheapest cancel is during the 7-day trial: cancel before day 7 and the card is not charged, per the help center. That article says you enter payment details to activate the trial and that an account not canceled by day 7 is billed for the Essentials annual plan. See the UpLead free trial guide.

UpLead's help center says it emails a reminder two days before billing begins.
